Sweltering in the summer AND autumn, it seems. I think what little strides they had made with the temperature and ventilation in the summer have now gone awry. The whole place smells like old sweaty feet, and the air is so thick and close it’s literally condensing on the free weights mirrors. This could all be fixed if you just propped open some of the fire doors in the daytime to let fresh, cool air in and hot, sweat-laden air out. Also am noticing lots more of the equipment has “out of order” signs on them, of late.

I’ll give three you know what ruins this gym. It’s the temperature. Its blimey freezing out there an when I come in the gym it’s like an ice chest box. Cmon pure gym, you make enough money on memberships, at least put some heating, when it’s cold it makes the place smell damp and smelly, literally an you can get seriously ill, this needs to be made aware. I literally had to leave after an hour my hands were freezing to hell, I ended up going Jd Gym Salford an oh it was toasty and warm they had automated so freshers an cause it’s warm it makes it smell so much nicer. Pure gym cmon man fix it it’s been weeks now

I’ve been a regular member, but the current state of the equipment is disappointing, despite the recent refurbishment. • Nearly all elliptical machines have faulty pedals (loose or bent), which makes them uncomfortable at best and unsafe at worst. • The roman chair is unstable and not level. Members are literally placing weight plates under the feet to stop it wobbling, which should never be necessary. • The cable station near the cardio area is broken: the weight stacks are misaligned and the machine is unusable. • Ventilation and temperature control are poor, something also mentioned in other reviews. The gym is uncomfortably cold in winter, which negatively affects the enjoyment of the space, whatever the underlying motivation might be. I hope prompt action can be taken to address the maintenance issues on the equipment and prevent further degradation or injury to customers. I’ll review this feedback should the situation change. Thank you, Nico
