I was very unimpressed by this driver. He drove past my house which has 107 on the front. He turned into Dene pk - 107 is on the corner with D pk drove to the end then called me impatiently saying he couldn’t find me. I said I would go out on the rd but needed to get my stick. By the time I got out he was turning into Dene rd again and I had to shout to get him to stop. I got into the car and he started to drive before I had clicked my seat belt. I asked him to wait until I had done so. When we arrived at the hospital he told me the fare was £5. I didn’t give him a tip because I found his attitude very poor and lacking judgement in relation to my disability. I was astonished to get your email charging me £7.50. It’s clear on the invoice that the journey cost £5. There was no waiting time. I therefore require you to reimburse £2.50 my card. Please email to confirm you have done so
The Driver was a nice fella. But the taxi had been ordered a week in advance to get me to hospital by 9.am. The hospital is about 55 minutes from my home address so I needed picking up about 8 am. The taxi arrived at my home at 9.12 am. This was after my appointment time and I arrived more than an hour late. Scheduling is not the drivers responsibility. They go where and when the boss tells them to. 5 stars for the driver for doing his best. There were no unusual traffic conditions on the network. This was a scheduling error. 0 stars for the controllers.
DON'T rely on them to show up and behave like a team, at least those booked through Premier Inn. I pre-booked the night before for 8.30am. At 8.40 no one had arrived so I called and they said sorry, there was a delay due to traffic but to wait inside and the driver will collect you. I checked outside 10 minutes later only to see my driver leave with another passenger. I called again only to be told they couldn't promise when someone would be here (maybe 20 mins). My conference was due to start at 9. As I was about to try to walk or catch a bus, another one of their cabs showed up to collect the passenger who took my cab. Apparently that sort of behaviour happens all the time. What terrible team work, and what utterly awful service.
