Customer Reviews
Appalling shack on the line between Manchester and Liverpool. You are much better off catching the bus as the trains are only every 2 hours, slow, and often late. The underpass is extremely dirty and feels unsafe.
Humphrey park railway station sits on the railway line that heads towards Manchester in one direction, and heads towards Warrington in the other direction. There is no official parking here, for cars, but there are roads nearby where you could leave your car although that would mean leaving your car in an area that does not have any CCTV looking over it. There are no bike racks here. There is no digital departures board here. Consequently you have no idea when your train is likely to arrive. This railway station has a lot of CCTV cameras which is good and bad. It's good because it indicates that they take security quite seriously here. But it can also be seen as bad because otherwise why would you need so many CCTV cameras unless there was potential for problems around here. That's my opinion of course. The reason I rated this station as only ok is simply because in the surrounding area near to the station, there seems to be a lot of dumped rubbish that seems to be strewn in various places which doesn't look good. Also on the Manchester side of the platform there is evidence that there used to be an automatic ticketing machine but for some unknown reason it has been removed.
Humphrey Park is neglected with no facilities but a useful station for those needing Mainline connections to Manchester or Warrington. Stretford is now a Tram stop.
