About
Located within a hotel, this bar and grill operates with a sense of independence from its surroundings. It serves a range of dishes, including ribeye steak with salad and chips, and a warm chocolate fondant that appeals to those with a sweet tooth. The space includes a TV, often tuned to sports, and provides a selection of drinks typical of hotel bars. It is a quiet spot, separate from the hotel’s main areas, with a focus on straightforward dining and drinks.
Customer Reviews
This is a small bar in a hotel. It feels like it is separate from the hotel. It normally feels quiet here and the drinks seem to be hotel prices. I asked for a specific type of glass for my drink and the barmaid didn't seem keen on looking for one, however, she came back with one saying it didn't look very clean. So, service was a bit below par. I managed to get a smile out of her in the end, but things shouldn't be like that. The decor is very 'hotel', so clean and modern, with a big TV for sport. If driving, you would have to pay to use the hotel car park to drink here... or find alternative parking.
Had the Rib eye stake with some salad and chips. Tasted great! Ellie was the waiter who took care of me and she was truly amazing! Warm, welcoming, professional, and swift! Great experience overall! Many thanks
During my recent four-night stay at Copthorne Hotel, I had the pleasure of dining at the Clippers restaurant, and I must say, the experience exceeded my expectations in every aspect. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism. The service provided by the waitstaff was exemplary; they were attentive, courteous, and efficient. I particularly commend the professionalism of the waitress who served me during my visits. Her attention to detail and promptness in addressing any requests truly enhanced my dining experience. I know, the menu was not too varied - however, the options I chose were absolutely delightful: soup of the day slow-cooked Lancashire Lamb Hotpot and Lightly Spiced Chicken Tikka Curry. What impressed me the most was the quickness of service without compromising on quality, ensuring that every guest received prompt attention and service.
