About

A busy railway station on the Oxford Road Corridor with frequent services to destinations across the region. There are covered waiting areas with seating, clear departure boards and free toilets. A small Costa coffee shop sits between platforms, with other coffee and snack options just outside the station. The ticket hall has helpful staff, and the station is a short walk from central Manchester. Trains connect here for onward travel, and nearby tram links provide additional transport options. The layout is straightforward to navigate, with wood furnishings in some waiting spaces.

A place and service we take for granted but it is extremely well used and kept running by very helpful staff. The place enables multitudes of personal connections to be made and all the more special during this festive time. Only 4 star as there's room for improvement. Such as information management of what platform to get for your train. Perhaps some computer terminals handy.

Oxford Train Station is convenient and well-located, with easy access to the city centre. Trains are frequent, and the station is generally clean and well signposted. It can get very busy during peak hours, but overall it’s a reliable and practical station for commuters and visitors.

Decent station, as usual, trains are mostly delayed. Toilets are nice and free to use. Good coffee options immediately outside and there’s a small Costa between platforms 4 and 5. Good covered waiting areas and seats on every platform. Best Manchester train station for access to the Palace Theatre and the universities. Great for access to the Central Library and St Peter’s Square tram station.
