Staff were friendly on arrival. Our room was upgraded to Superior as we had platinum reward points. The room was standard size, it was clean. The upgrade included a Nespresso machine, (the mugs provided didn't fit). Also robes with slippers (1 didn't have a belt & we only had 1 pair of slippers). We used them to go to the pool so this was awkward! Breakfast was tasty with a good variety. Our room was cold & the Air Con wouldn't increase so we didn't use our late check out. The hotel's location is perfect for the AO Arena but not worth the high price we paid.

Other than the location, I can't recommend this hotel. I arrived ahead of my wife and checked in. They gave me an inital room key but this was later deactivated after they gave my wife her room keys. Which meant I had no way of accessing the room myself after arriving back to the hotel late that night. It would have made more sense to activate two cards at the same time instead. I was told on check in that we had been upgraded to a city view room and given free breakfast, when actually this was what we paid for. Further confusion on the front desk arose when we were given a late checkout on the day we were leaving, only to have reception calling the room to ask why we were still there. Oops. The beds were acceptable comfort wise. But I wasn't happy to find the pull out bed for our child had been made up with one of the pillows from the main bed, meaning that they assumed I was happy to sleep with only one pillow - and the pillows are quite thin and flimsy as it is. I had to request extra pillows. The shower head and seal on the shower screen were broken. We reported this and to their credit they got their maintenance man to fix it promptly. Although the screen still didn't stop water from leaking all over the floor even after the fix. There was also an intermittent smell of urine emanating from the bathroom that wasn't caused by us so I assume must be a drain issue. Breakfast was just dire. Very basic and offputting food quality and there wasn't much left at all after 9am. We ended up going to a local cafe on the final day as there just wasn't anything left for us and we didn't fancy the poor quality food in general. The pain au chocolats were undercooked and doughy in the middle, which raises food safety concerns. I will say the air conditioning/heating worked well, the decor was nice and overall we slept well. But I understand the hotel recently rebranded from a Park Inn to a Radisson and honestly, it shows. It honestly feels like a two star hotel with a decor makeover. It will serve your purposes for an overnight to see an event at the AO Arena but beyond that I would avoid.

Room was exceptional. Bathroom was very stylish but the practicality was a let down. The shower was very poor, a handheld shower head, but that was difficult to move due to a plastic clip. Lots of water on the floor after a short time you felt compelled to clear up. Fantastic level of cleanliness. View out of the window obviously Canberra controlled but looking at a graffiti covered wasteland. Only soya yoghurt at breakfast was really disappointing.
