Customer Reviews
Had a great one night stay. Really appreciated the upgraded room. Service very professional in all areas. Of particular note was Nirmala in the Lounge. Such a wonderful lady. Very friendly and welcoming. Just a couple of suggestions - please can you put cheese back on the lounge breakfast menu (it’s printed on the menu but was nowhere to be seen). Also canapés are unfortunately not comparable with other Crowne Plaza’s that we’ve stayed at. Small points but offered constructively to make our next stay perfect 😁
I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre for two nights while visiting the AO Arena, and I genuinely had a wonderful experience from start to finish. The hotel is in an excellent location, the atmosphere is modern and welcoming, and everything felt clean, calm, and well-organised. The staff were truly exceptional. Every interaction was warm, patient, and understanding, especially in relation to my needs as a disabled guest. The food was also a highlight — I ordered both room service and breakfast to my room, and everything arrived hot, beautifully presented, and full of variety. It made my stay much more relaxing and enjoyable. My accessible room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed, but I did experience one major accessibility concern. To get to the corridor where the accessible rooms are located, guests must pass through a set of heavy double doors that are not automatic. These doors require a strong push or pull to open. Even though I had someone with me — which helped — it was still a struggle every time we passed through. If I had been travelling alone, I wouldn’t have been able to get through them independently at all. I’m not sure if this door setup applies to every floor or every accessible room, so I would strongly recommend that disabled guests check the access route to their specific room before booking. Installing automatic doors, a push-button system, or even lighter slow-closing doors would make a huge difference and ensure the accessible rooms are genuinely accessible in practice. Despite this issue, it absolutely does not put me off returning, and that is entirely due to how incredibly accommodating the staff were. The standard checkout time is 11am, and as a Silver IHG member I can check out up to 2pm depending on availability. However, due to medical reasons I wasn’t able to leave at 2pm. When I explained this to the staff, they immediately offered an additional complimentary two hours, allowing me to check out at 4pm. This level of understanding didn’t just help — it genuinely prevented a medical flare-up, and I am profoundly, deeply grateful. Their compassion, empathy, and willingness to go above and beyond in a moment that truly mattered is something I will never forget. The thoughtful accommodation they offered made a real, tangible difference to my health and wellbeing, and I cannot express enough how appreciative I am of the kindness, flexibility, and genuine care the staff showed. It was more than good service — it was humanity, and it meant everything. The Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre is clearly a hotel committed to exceptional service. With some attention to the accessibility of the corridor doors, it has the potential to be truly faultless. I will absolutely be returning — in fact, I already have another stay planned for April 2026, and I genuinely look forward to coming back. The combination of comfort, quality, and staff who consistently demonstrate genuine compassion creates an experience that is truly outstanding. Thank you for a fantastic stay — I couldn’t have asked for better service or a more welcoming team.
Can’t speak highly enough of how myself and my son were treated by the staff at the hotel. Unfortunately we had a medical emergency and everyone went above and beyond to ensure we were looked after properly. As well as being a top hotel in a great location, more importantly they look after people first. Wouldn’t dream of staying anywhere else in future. Thanks again for taking such good care of us. Gary.
