About
A historic pub set in a late Victorian building, this venue was once the Manchester & Salford Children’s Mission. Known for its preserved architectural features, it retains much of its original character, including wall-to-wall tiling. The bar serves a range of cask ales, local craft beers, and an extensive selection of spirits, including whisky and gin. Situated in a basement, it provides a distinctive setting with multiple seating areas. The pub’s historical posters and memorabilia add to its unique appeal, making it a place where the past and present intersect.
Customer Reviews
One of the great bars in the centre of town. Great keg and draft list, nice atmosphere, type of place you can find a corner and set like jelly. Added bonus that they don’t allow people to reserve tables.
Incredible historic pub located in a lovely part of Salford 10 mins from Deansgate. This building is steeped in history and they have left it as it was, worth walking round to read all the posters. The beers were spot on and covered everything you could want, to match that I was there on a Monday so there are two lovely ales for 3 quid a pint, bargain! Atmosphere was brilliant and very friendly. I will be back soon 👌👍
Supremely atmospheric bar in the catacombs under Bridge St., serving four cask ales, ten local craft beers, and a wall full of premium spirits, wines and cocktails. Wall to wall tiles, several distinct seating areas, and displays of the Victorian history of the building make for a cool vibe.
