This review is dedicated to the lovely staff and drag performers I have met at this bar/venue! Even the bouncers on the door are amazing. I really have loved the vibes being in here, from the lights, to the balcony smoking area and even the third floor! I have thoroughly enjoyed seeing all the girls who do the door, the performances and even hosting! Specific shout out to Lavender Sniff (Sniffy), as I really loved the viewing parties that she hosted for RPDR UK S7. They were fun, smart and came along with some fabulous guests. I would just love to see her host even more shows in OnBar!

Went here for buff bingo night. All you can drink for 2 hours. It was terrible. All they offered was cheap fizz that was like paint stripper and a large jug of cranberry juice with only three shots of vodka in it. Absolute rip-off. The bingo was terrible just full of lewd childish remarks and another shitty cocktail if you won. Blatantly obvious they cared more about profit than customers. Only plus was we enjoyed the food.

I’m visiting from Los Angeles and went to this bar on New Year’s Eve around 9 pm because the music sounded great from outside. I was denied entry simply because I was alone. No explanation beyond that. I didn’t argue and walked away, assuming they wanted to prioritize larger groups who might spend more. Later, I made friends at a nearby bar and returned with them as a group. Despite this, security stopped me again and said I couldn’t enter because I had been denied earlier. That was unnecessarily humiliating and completely illogical. If this is how the bar treats people, I’m happy to stay away. Fortunately, Manchester has no shortage of better options.
