Good pub we stumbled on here. Decent size, they have pool and darts, sport on the tv. Prices weren’t to bad, good selection of drinks. Dog friendly, which is always a bonus. Staff were great, decent atmosphere. Seem to have a club in the back but I never had a look.
So I bought a glass of wine at this pub and the server spilt a good bit of it on the floor. She apologised and proceeded to charge me the full price even though she spilt it. I asked her if she thought I should be discounted and she said there was no facility to do this but she could offer me a bottle of Prosecco at a discount!!! I was there on my own and I don’t like Prosecco…as I drilled down on her she dryly asked ‘what do you want me to do for you?’ At that point I left. Absolutely disgusting service.
Had a terrible experience! I have been going for over a decade. New management has been in for a few months, have been going most weeks to be supportive of my local business despite the massive price hikes. Bar staff were rude and the manager down right abusive as a local guide I would recommend to avoid until they improve their outlook on how to run a pub.
