We had the Secret Garden Afternoon Tea. Everything about it was lovely. The attention to detail with the place setting, the warm and friendly welcome could not be faulted. The food was beautiful. Fresh and so tasty. We were greeted with a lovely glass of fizzy elderflower presse, just to set the scene. A smashing selection of hot and cold savouries and sandwiches and, as always, a lovely array of scones and cakes. Definitely a treat. We had a most enjoyable, and special afternoon. Thank you to Lynsey and her lovely staff

Went for lunch with friends, and had not been for over a year. One very noticable difference was the service. It involved queueing up for almost 15 minutes whilst a number of visible staff seemed to be at sixes and sevens! Not organised at all! The cheese scones had gone, and I am told that, despite these being very popular, they always run out before 11am! One staff member was taking the orders and payments - which was simply not effective! A waitress service would be much more effficient. A waitress brought the food out to the table, so why not take the orders at the tables? Some of the customers having to queue were elderly, and it can't have been pleasant having to stand for 15 minutes! Having said that, the food, as always was very good. Sad about the cheese scones though! Would I go back - not in a hurry!

Fabulous Food & service. This was my first visit and will be most certainly be coming back. Generous portions of great food. There’s a nice selection of cakes as well as the menu choices. The staff are very friendly and made the whole experience wonderful. The coffee shop has a nice open feel about it and not noisy with people talking over each other. Plenty space between tables and there is lots of window seats if you watch the world go by. There’s plenty of parking behind which is beneficial.
