About
A Victorian market hall that has evolved into a food-focused destination with diverse stalls serving Chinese, Thai, Greek and Italian dishes, alongside local produce. The recent addition of a bar has made it busier, with seating sometimes in demand. Alongside the food options, there are clothing stalls, a hairdresser and fresh fruit and vegetable sellers. Parking and public transport links are nearby.

Another fabulous breakfast for dinner at McKays in what is now a wonderful and appealing space. The Market Hall has the promise of a go to destination for socialising and entertainment, alongside shopping and treats with the fabulous variety of traders located here. The new bar has also opened and was proving very popular today. I'm looking forward to getting to enjoy some of the music gigs that are planned for here, too. It's fully accessible, has great facilities available. Do be aware that with all the cooking carried out it can get hazy and smokey inside. You will need to wrap up in colder weather as being a Market Hall there's no heating.
Please go to visit and support the lovely few vendors who survived at what once used to be this lively and thriving Victorian market hall! One has since collapsed and the other is still there, and I walked through it to get to the old market. Lucky someone told me the way, otherwise I would have missed it. Please, please visit and buy your veg at Benson’s, and sit and have a coffee at Silvia’s. For a few minutes you can feel you are still in this lively Victorian market. As if…
Not a bad place for shop. Many eateries and drink places around as well as stores to shop. Plenty of parking space around as well as bus stop for easy travel with your heavy shopping incase if you’re not driving.
