I visited Isan Thai Massage Centre in Carlisle yesterday and had an outstanding experience. This was my very first Thai massage, and I decided to go because I have been struggling with several physical problems — a sudden onset frozen shoulder on the left side, ongoing right hip pain (possibly due to adductor muscle weakness), and chronic backache related to poor posture. I am still waiting for my physiotherapy appointment and was finding it very difficult to cope with exercises alone. My therapist, Niki, was absolutely excellent. She started by placing me on a warm electric heated bed, which was very comforting, and then performed a deep tissue hot oil massage covering my entire back, neck, and legs, with special focus on my left frozen shoulder and right hip. She used hot oil along with tiger balm and baby oil, and also applied hot towels, which made the whole treatment extremely relaxing and therapeutic. The results were honestly amazing. For the first time since this problem started, I am now able to move my left arm much more freely. My range of movement has improved significantly and is now beyond the painful arc. Before the massage, my movement had reduced to only about 40–50% of normal, and now it feels at least 80% better. I would like to mention that during deep tissue massage there are moments of deep pressure and some pain, which is completely normal. You can always tell the therapist how much pressure you can tolerate. I did experience some muscle soreness for about 24 hours afterwards, which is expected after deep tissue work, but once that settled, the relief and improvement were remarkable. Another very important point is the cost — the one-hour service is extremely affordable for the quality of treatment you receive. The value for money is excellent. I highly recommend Isan Thai Massage Centre for traditional hot oil and deep tissue massage. The professionalism, skill, and care were exceptional. This is definitely going to be my go-to wellness centre from now on to manage my back, neck, shoulder, and hip problems.

I had my first full massage today and it was amazing. I have neck and shoulder problems but the pain relief I’m experiencing is wonderful. Will definitely go again. A lovely happy friendly atmosphere .
