About
This convenience store on English Street carries everyday essentials and groceries, with self-checkout available. It stocks a selection of sandwiches and quick meal options for those grabbing food on the go. Some locals appreciate its return to the area as a nearby option for basic shopping needs.
Customer Reviews
I regularly shop at Tesco Express and have generally been impressed. The store is spacious and well organized, with a really good range of all products we need. Staff are really friendly and helpful and i like the thing that it opens early in morning at 6AM and stays open late On the downside the store can get quite busy during peak hours and sometimes the queue at checkouts are long but overall I am satisfied with service.
I'm not a fan of Tesco Express the store is small and compact and although seems to have a bit of everything there is no great choice or variety, if popping in for a sandwich or one or two items then fine otherwise not so good in my opinion
So it's been open for about 2 months now and this new store is far too small for what the local people want ( after shopping for decades at the now closed Victoria Viaduct larger store ). One huge issue I have with this new store is when you either do self service check out or ask for a person to check out your shopping.. THERES NOT ENOUGH ROOM TO PACK YOUR BAG OR BAGS....! And the staff IVE spoke to totally agree..! Saying this, I've preferred to go to the nearby Home Bargains during their opening hours for much regular cheaper prices. Only 2 mins walk away. Never go to a Tesco store without yr clubcard... Too expensive, even with CC prices Home Bargains and Heron cheaper. Sorry Tesco. No longer a fan. St Nicholas Asda still my local.
