A simpley wonderful old school football ground, I loved walking around this histoic venue and looking forward to my firstcgame soon.
Really enjoyed my time here. Stewards were incredibly helpful and it was fairly accessible for away fans. You will need to go up steps however if you’re planning on sitting in the away end. Be aware if you have a wheelchair as an away fan that they have a small area away from the stand for wheelchair users but it’s not a million miles away.
Couldn't leave Carlisle without paying a visit to one of footballs true outposts, Brunton Park, home of Carlisle United. I've had a soft spot for the 'Cumbrians' since the 1970's when they graced the old First Division for one season, 1974/75. These days they are struggling for survival in League Two and have appointed the old warhorse; Mark Hughes as manager to try and save them. It was nice to finally see Brunton Park, the pitch looked in good nick, the ground is well maintained but the club needs a genuine financial investor to kick start this fine old club and push it forward. Carlisle United are a proud club with a loyal fan base. I wish them well and hope they achieve success in future.
