About

Slap & Pickle Burgers is a burger-focused eatery within Society, a compact food hall in Manchester. It is known for its smash burgers, featuring crisp patties and fresh buns, often paired with loaded fries or cheesy sides. The menu includes both meat and vegan options, with dishes like the Moo x Too burger and Big Mick Fries. Sauces and toppings are a key feature, though some opt for plain chips to avoid sogginess. The burgers are well-regarded for their smoky flavour and balanced saucing. From time to time, there are deals on the menu. It’s a straightforward spot for those after hearty burgers and indulgent sides.

Really delicious food, had 2 burgers and fries (1 chicken kieve fries, 1 plain) and teriyaki wings. Fries were pretty dry. It did come to £52 (with 10% tip) though which honestly was pretty pricy. Wish you could get the burger on its own because we couldn't eat the fries! Will visit again regardless, not sure we'd bother paying an extra £4 to make the fries loaded again.

Ate here with some work colleagues while we were in town. Society is a mini food hall with 4 different options (and more coming I think) I had eaten at a pub in Leeds where Slap & Pickle did the food, so was excited to share it with my colleagues. Ordering is easy. Pick a table, scan the barcode and order everything from your phone. The food didn't take too long to arrive. Nice clean toilets. Three of us had beef burgers and one had chicken. The beef burgers were good, but not as good as the one I had in Leeds (just not as juicy or satisfying). I got bacon in my burger but it was really fatty so I made a mess trying to remove the pieces of bacon to get rid of all the fat. Fries were good though! My colleague who had the chicken burger said it was nothing special. Will probably come back to Society (the pizzas we saw looked amazing!) but not sure I would get a burger here again.

We ordered both meat and vegetarian options, both were really good as well as cheesy fries. Absolutely recommend!
