Absolutely outstanding choice of gluten free food. Our son was playing in a tennis tournament just down the road and he couldn't believe the gluten free feast I brought him from Claire's. Very good value too and lovely people. Highly recommended.
Sooo I have a celebration cake for 95£!!! I get this… A heavy lump of red velvet, as it’s a 12 ppl cake with almost no cream inside!!! There should be at least 2 layers of mascarpone cream which I’ve requested! There’s no such thing at this bakery as this cake was made without mascarpone layers inside or they were so thin then disappeared under the heavy cake rounds. Outside of the cake is another problem with the cream. The buttercream… NO! It’s a margarine with a flavour so strong and so sweet, not even mixed properly as the sugar was still noticeable. My first and last time at the bakery. The lady who deals with the bookings, I suppose she’s the owner, very rude and not very helpful as there were many issues with placing the order ans honestly it was not worth it. I don’t understand why this bakery is recommended. It’s highly avoided by me. I don’t consume much sugar so a good slice of cake it a treat, after few bites of a yesterday’s cake a have very strong headache from the products that has been used to make that cake. If you care for your health! Make your own cakes ppl! It’s healthier and cheaper, also fun!!! Disgusting and harmful for kids! My apologies £75 for this lump of badly made, soggy red velvet, margarine and glitter frosting… What supposed to be mascarpone frosting…, Cheap cheap cheap and don’t recommend it! Unpleasant service, even after leaving this review the owner didn’t do anything nice to recognise the complaint. Shame. How sad.
The cake for my sister’s 30th birthday was absolutely delicious. I couldn’t recommend Claire’s Bakery enough, especially if you’re looking for a more bespoke design. Thank you so much again.
