About

A pie shop at Carlisle train station, found on Platform 4 near the footbridge, serving handmade savoury pastries. Known for its steak pies, haggis pies, and sausage rolls, including a vegan option. The caramelised onion filling comes recommended, and the flaky pastry is a consistent feature. Pies are also sold at Keswick market. Travellers and locals pick them up for quick meals, with some making trips specifically for them. The business has expanded beyond the station, appearing at events like the Westmorland County Show.

Where better to buy your warm savoury snacks if in a rush. Located on platform 4 by the passenger bridge to platform 1,2 & 3. Certainly a cut above your usual station fare.

Had one of your stunning pies at Westmorland County Show earlier this month! Haggis and steak. Out of this world! Living in Lancaster, was disappointed to find out that you were based in Carlisle! Imagine the heartbreak I went through after having come up to Carlisle for the day on train and realising at 14:59 that you are at the station and that you shut at 15:00!! That pie was so good that I left my pint on the off-chance of getting some for lunch tomorrow. Got there at 15:05 to Pie Demand shut up and a friendly face telling me I was too late!! Goimg to have to come up to Carlisle again for a pie! Ni question.

Yesterday, Saturday 18th October, we bought 4 pies from Keswick market. They are most definitely the finest pies we have ever had. No complaints from us. Divine. We don't know what days you are selling at Keswick but hopefully next time we are visiting which is 8th-12th December, you are there.
