About
A café in the Rheged centre serving a short but varied menu including soup of the day, rosti and pizza. Coffee is served alongside cakes, some with salted toppings. The space has a high turnover of tables with staff frequently clearing and delivering orders. Sandwiches are available, with staff occasionally making recommendations on choices. The soup has been described as having a chewy texture. The café shares space with a deli and bar, which can cause some initial confusion over its exact location within the complex.
Customer Reviews
This is a good café within the lovely, light Rheged centre. The menu is short but interesting, well cooked and presented. There were *lots* of friendly staff busy clearing tables and delivering food to keep tables turning at a busy lunchtime. We didn't have to wait for a table and, although clearly cooked to order, our food arrived swiftly. A nice component to a visit to the centre overall.
No idea if I'm in the cafe pod or not. Couldn't find the entrance. Found a cafe that turned out to be delicatessen and a bar that turned out to be the cafe. Fancied the soup of the day but couldn't discover what that was as there was no sign.... Asked a member of staff. It was sweet potato and cabbage so chose a scone. Was asked if we had chosen the table. Nothing said that we had to choose a table first and there were no numbers on tables anyway. A most confusing experience. Hot chocolate lovely, scones a bit dry. Certainly wouldn't pay £14.50 to eat a main course here.
Amazing food, served by francesca and Kurt, both so friendly and informative. I really loved my coffee and meal fantastic place and the staff are lovely and great portion sizes 👍
