They had flies near their dessert fridge and the overall cleanliness did not seem very good, we arrived at 4 (edit: it was 4 o'clock, not 4:45, nowhere near) and the lady kept telling me they're closing early today because a person named Ben has an appointment, but not answering my actual question about what time... (also how is that my problem/business, also who is Ben and why do I need to hear about it 6 times?) I am a casual visitor, I just wanted a scone and a pot of tea. Ended up having cheese scones because they were only thing left and out of takeaway containers and cardboard cups, which ruins the experience, even though they did not update their closing time online and we drove there to sit down. Also there was dog food on one table(edit #2: I'm sorry but pointing that out and saying that that doesn't appear clean is very fair because those are simply facts), another was placed badly on uneven ground and there was just not a lot of comfy options even though we were nearly only ones there. A cup of tea was £3, (and I get it when there's a pot and you can ask for some more hot water and you're cozy, but not like this!) and even though the scones were decent and she charged me 2 instead of 3 for them it was still just overall SO uncomfortable. They weren't exactly rude but they weren't super friendly either, this dude who I assume is this Ben referred to me as 'that woman' when passing along a question I had asked to his colleague, which was also not a very pleasant thing, I mean could have just called me the client or something... I expected something cozy and nice and ended up feeling awkward and disappointed in several different ways. Edit #3: I don't mean to be mean, I'm possibly going to try coming again at some point to see if I change my mind, my intention isn't to harm anyone's business, this was just my personal and honest experience)
