About
Common Garden Square is part of Penrith’s new squares development, primarily functioning as a shopping area with a Sainsbury’s store. It has become known locally for its convenient parking, which is free for a limited time and serves both shoppers and Premier Inn guests. The space includes benches where visitors can take a short break. While many retail units remain unoccupied, the car park and supermarket are the main draws. Premier Inn guests can register their vehicle details at reception to avoid parking charges.
Customer Reviews
Good local parking especially for Safeways and The Premier Inn. . Guests at Premier Inn enter their car details on a screen in reception to ensure no charge.
Penrith is a lovely place to visit, but unfortunately most of the shops at new squares are permantly empty ( another building deal between council and private owned shop, we pay for them to be empty so no competition! ) Duh . Still you should go see old penrith it good
Part of Penrith's new squares development. To be fair the only good that has come from it is the parking and an OK sainsbury store. Most of the shops are empty and don't look like they will ever be filled. Hope it gets sorted but just looks like it never will. Such a shame as the general design is quite nice. Maybe thing would have been different if a large covered arcade style shopping centre was built instead. We will never know the answer to this but an interesting way to look at it. The common garden square seems nice and we'll kept and probably a great place for kids to play.
