I enlisted the services of Whitemore & Thwaytes to refurbish my holiday cottage in the North Pennines. Louie and the team were professional throughout the entire process, suggesting new colour schemes, and furnishings to really bring the cottage up to date whilst maintaining its warm cosy charm. I felt confident leaving a lot of the work to them, and they had the contacts to get the job done quickly in a co-ordinated way. Especially helped me out as I live 3 hours away, and co-ordinating a project like this from that distance would have been very difficult. Wonderful professional service. When we bought our home near Penrith, it needed a complete refurb. From start to finish, Whitemore and Thwaytes guided us; with Maureen Whitemore at the helm, they masterminded and coordinated the whole project with great ideas and a real vision of what we wanted, and Maureen has fantastic contacts for the joinery, decoration, plumbing, garden landscaping etc. But it was when we came to the furnishings, wall colours, carpets and curtains that W&T really came into their own. And they made it so easy for us to make our selections. I spent very happy times in their showroom with Maureen, selecting fabrics and colours; she has such a great eye for what works together. We appreciate the stunning results every day and can’t recommend them highly enough.
The team at Whitemore and Thwaytes are really wonderful. I have worked on a number of renovation projects over the years and no-one has come close to matching the level of service, professionalism and expertise. I was actually sorry when the project was completed; it was such a pleasure to work with them. Since the big project I have also had additional soft furnishings made by the team and even for small one off jobs they offer the same level of commitment. I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the quality of work, the level of client service and the passion for what they do. Our home was nominated for an award for the quality of its interiors and this was entirely down to what the team did.
