Absolutely can't recommend this place enough. Lovely independent hostel. Stayed here while doing the coast to coast at the weekend. We managed to book the apartment which was brilliant, cosy and had just what we needed. Had everything we needed even tea and coffee. The absolute bonus was the ability to store bike, a repair station and drying room for kit. We didn't use communal areas as only stayed the night and exhausted. Then left early next morning. They looked brilliant though. Also sorry forgot food in the fridge...... Oops. I'm sure we'll be back as great little place.
Stayed in the apartment and can thoroughly recommend the place. Perfect for the 2 of us, with bike storage (and a handy set of tools that we thankfully didn't need) available and, although we had private facilities the main kitchen / dining area looked well equipped. To top it off, the service / friendly welcome and local information was brilliant.
Great hostel with beautiful, cozy, well furnished appartments for still a good price. Cellar has excellent storage for 10+ bikes and some tools and cleaning materials too. Small freezer for storage too. The host wellcomed us very friendly and all was pretty much straightforward. We alas only stayed for one night, but loved it. Beds very comfy. Parking in front or near in the street. Penrith center in walking distance. Highly recommended.
