About
Bluebell Lane Car Park is a council-run parking facility near Penrith town centre and railway station, known for its competitive overnight rates and proximity to local amenities. Payment options include coins and a parking app, though contactless payments are not accepted. The car park fills quickly during peak times, particularly mornings. Motorcycle parking is unavailable. Pricing is set to increase periodically, with current rates allowing extended stays at a flat fee. Some users report connectivity issues with the app-based payment system. The location serves as a practical option for visitors to the town centre or station.
Customer Reviews
Doesn't accept contactless but does with coins and of course the app, most annoying though is we parked up at 5pm, clearly says free after 6pm, so tried to pay for one hour and it was charging us £3.70 to park until the next morning, £3.70bis even a price on the display!!!!
Convenient car park but council dumbly don’t accept contactless or app payment before opening hours (8am). This makes it useless for those whose jobs start prior to 8 unless they want to have to remember to pay at opening from work each day on the app. Its markings are getting faded and is expensive if used a few days a week. Council should consider economic benefit of more reasonable charges.
Nice car park, 5 minutes from station or town centre. Fills up quickly in the morning. Cheaper than station only £5 until early next morning, soon going up to £5.50 in April 2023. Allows overnight parking for one night from coin based parking meter, good if you are unsure of your exact return time in the evening. Been told you can book longer periods online but never tried this.
