Customer Reviews
Very much a work in progress. Nice to walk around the grounds. The building maintenance and restoration is going to take some time before it’s finished and we were told that the main part will not have a roof put back. Japanese gardens etc were all a bit barren in February and the gardens have not matured yet. Entrance fee was modest and worth £15. Cafe sold great cakes and the food looked nice.
Beautiful views! Highly recommend renting bicycles from Arragon's to explore the trails around the castle and through Lake District.
Lowther Park is a wonderful place to walk with beautiful scenery all around. Lots of free parking nearby. Its a mix of soft or hard surfaces with lots of improvement work going on to the paths. You can spend the whole day wondering here and children can have great adventures. Dress appropriately if it's raining it's going to be muddy. If its sunny pack a picnic! If you fancy a drink Pubs and shops nearby. Well worth a visit whatever the weather...
