Cakes include caramel brownie, and benches outside make it a stop for walkers.

Best coffee in the area. A proper barista making a proper ‘Long Black’. Good chat too. Don’t make the same mistake as me and, on the first visit to the lake, stop at the theatre cafe. It’s fine. But. go a little further and find the moon and sixpence if you’re fussy about your coffee. Great icecreams for the kids too.
All too often places seem to get away with mediocre coffee and poor food, visited this place after a long walk and have to say one of the best coffees I’ve had in the Lake District. Will absolutely go again when we are next over there.
A very good hot chocolate with various % options to choose from and oat milk available, also done nice and hot! Perfect to enjoy with lovely views of the lake
