The menu includes Cumberland sausage, haggis, and beef and kidney pie alongside classic fish and chips, with gluten-free options available. Some visitors enjoy a pot of tea with their meal. After a long day of sightseeing around Keswick, we stopped by The Kingfisher for a late lunch – and it was exactly what we needed! The fish & chips were fresh, flaky, and perfectly cooked, with proper chunky chips and a generous portion of mushy peas. We also tried the lasagne with chips – a surprisingly comforting combo that really hit the spot. Everything was hot, tasty, and served quickly. The place has a classic, no-fuss vibe, perfect for refuelling after exploring the Lakes. Bonus points for the lovely orange juice – fresh and refreshing. Highly recommended if you’re in Keswick and craving some hearty British food!

Huge portions that even filled up my teenagers. Delicious with great service. We ate upstairs in the restaurant but there is a takeaway on main floor. Glad we got there early before it got busy!

We stopped by for lunch on route to Buttermere and truly enjoyed our time there. We were welcomed by a friendly team, who also shared with us the background of Keswick. Great food, big portion and lovely atmosphere.
