Best butcher's in Keswick. With a tremendous selection of homemade pies and home cooked meats, you'll may have trouble making up your mind on what to buy. Their homemade Cumberland sausage has to be best there is, and they also make it Gluten Free. Try their chicken Kiev and the homemade burgers.
Nice people and great food. It's not just their selection of meat which is very good (look out for their black pudding sausages!) but also their range of cook/chill (seafood pie is very good as is the lasagne). A particular favourite of mine is their breakfast pies (sausage, bacon, black pudding and baked beans in a gorgeous pastry) which is heavenly, especially if re-heated.
The only place my lads let me shop in Cumbria! Rang an order through the day before and you kindly made up 1.5kg of chicken curry fresh for us plus all the other protein. Top quality shop, produce, service. Brilliantly run by the brothers. Many thanks all!
