There are plenty of vintage books here for collectors, nothing is cheap though. Good if you have something specific you want, not much general fiction.
A fine second hand bookstore mostly specialised in travel books and maps, but with an interesting selection of books on other subjects. Prices are well above average. Check the peculiar timetable in my picture, particularly the final remark (highlighted in green) 😊
Great used book shop - good selection (art history and medieval studies were my focus but they have a wide-ranging selection pretty much across the board) and quite a large selection of Folio Society books! Already have multiple copies of Moby-Dick, but was sorely tempted by the Folio edition… had to economize since I was flying and was already well beyond my volumetric limit of books - there was a volume on Hogarth but was, sadly, a bit too hefty for my overloaded backpack … 😢. Next time we’re in Keswick I’ll be dropping in!
