A woodland activity centre with climbing walls, bouldering and an outdoor play area designed for younger children using natural materials. There’s also archery, a zip wire and ghyll scrambling, with kayaking on Derwentwater. The site includes a café and has parking. Instructors lead activities including climbing with belay systems. Sheep graze nearby, adding to the rural setting. The climbing walls cater to different abilities, while Rookery Woods provides imaginative play spaces.

We are regulars here with the kids attending the excellent kids club on a Saturday. We also recently booked for ghyll scrambling which was superb, Will was a brilliant instructor he took excellent care of the kids in the ghyll and also gave opportunities for a little extra adrenalin where possible. Highly recommend Keswick climbing wall and Newlands adventure centre, staff are friendly and enthusiastic, facilities are great and the activities are really fun.
Visited Rookery Woods over Feb half term with 4yr old and 1yr old. Staff were brilliant and the activities in the woods were amazing! It’s so well set up and well maintained, such a great spot and perfect find. Would definitely recommend and will visit again next time we are in the Lakes.
Fantastic place for kids to do plenty of things. It is situated in most iconic and scenic spot of the Lake District National Park. Plenty of car parking spaces available outside. The climbing Wall offers something for everyone. Outside play area include Zip Wire, Multi Story Castle, Hidden Dens, Maze, Soft Archery, sheep hunt etc. They charge £5 per child for a day. I also recommend this place.
