Very pleasant riverside area with a view of Cockermouth Castle (Castle not open to the public). Plenty of benches to sit on as well.
Beautiful gardens right on the river. Good parking availability. There is a small playground which is popular with little children. Lovely walk over the bridge into Cockermouth. Only down side was the waste bins needed emptying, they were full so people were leaving rubbish on the floor.
Absolutely beautiful place for a walk. The area was so clean and well maintained. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area.
