Came yesterday whilst staying in the premierinn. Didn't eat here because of the poor reviews. Only had few drinks but staff we interacted with was super friendly great customer service! He did admit they struggle with staff in the area. Highly recommend for drinks tho if your staying at the hotel. Nice relaxed atmosphere 👍
One person serving at the bar taking food orders,queue was eight people deep. Horrible old lady Jumped the queue nothing was said she just got Served before anyone else. Ordered prawns starter and steak, medium rare came out there Was four prawns for £6. And the steak was completely raw . It wasn’t even busy the Chef needs The sack.. 22/11/25 6pm .. got a full refund
We dined here with 5 people, 3 of which are adults with learning disabilities. The fish came out rock hard and well overcooked, the person who ordered the rock hard fish has no teeth but is usually able to eat fine but this fish was not possible to be eaten so we sent it back and a normal fish came out, my fish I ate was also rock hard but I decided to eat it but wish I hadn’t. The beef and ale pie was rock hard too but the person ate it fine, the smothered chicken was dryer than a bone. The food took ages to come out to our table, I could understand if the restaurant was busy but it wasn’t even a third full. The only good point about our visit was the waitress, bless her doing a great job, but I think they need a new cook.
