About

A garden centre set in the grounds of a large house, with a traditional feel and extensive plant selection. Known for its range of gardening tools, outdoor plants, trees, and bushes. There’s a café on-site, and the shop stocks gardening accessories. The centre also sells apples and has a lake nearby. Help with gas bottle changes for campervans is available. The plant variety appeals to keen gardeners, with a focus on horticultural products rather than seasonal goods. Occasional visitors discover it while on holiday in the area.

This isn't a garden centre were the words I uttered to my dad as we pulled in,as it really doesn't look like one from the drive in.Even the carpark is odd BUT,it is a garden centre, and a very nice one at that. The staff were super friendly and helpful.Would definitely give it a little look in next time you're passing by.I do have suggestion for them though. The have a beautiful apple tree that they don't take advantage of.The apples just fall off and they throw them away or possibly compost,my suggestion, they have a cafe and a shop.....Make chutney and sell it,you couldn't get any more locally sourced that that.Great place

A very nice traditional English garden centre set in the grounds of a large house. The plants on sale are beautiful, the range of gardening products is extensive and the prices seem reasonable. They have some particularly nice apple trees here for only £25. I paid that much for similar trees 15 years ago. Bargain.

I am a keen gardener and this is my first visit. The variety and quality of plants is very good. Coming from the Kent to holiday in the Lakes the prices are excellent in comparison to what I am used to paying. Would have been nice had the coffee shop been open. Well worth a visit.
