Bought a static caravan at Violet bank in June 2021 and it was the best decision I ever made. It’s a lovely quiet site with stunning views of the mountains and 15 minutes walk from the wonderful pubs and eateries in Cockermouth. It’s great being so close to the town with its supermarkets and yet the site still feels like it’s out in the middle of nature. Love it. Site staff are friendly and helpful and even hosted a free Hog Roast in the summer to allow residents to meet. The fact it is open 12 months off the year is an added bonus. Christmas at Violet Bank this year was magical.
Violet Bank is perfect for us, it’s beautifully maintained by great staff and like all other caravans on there we have a stunning view of the renowned Lake District landscape. We love the peace and quiet; no clubhouse just a nice little children’s playground. Cockermouth is a short walk away and a lovely town with a great selection of independent shops- oh and some of the best coffee! Being on the edge of the National park we benefit from access to all the well known attractions, as well as less busy spots like the stunning solway Firth It’s perfect!
We've had 2 static vans on Violet bank and we love it ..we chose this park for the stunning fell views, the peace and quiet and lack of commercialism..the site is very well maintained. It's the ideal place to retreat from the world, bag a fell, wander into the beautiful town of Cockermouth, eat, drink and totally relax. This is one of the fabulous views from our van.😊
