Ordered mushrooms on sourdough. It came with a small portion of mushrooms that didn’t fill the bread and not very well presented unlike the cafe at Whitehaven which has a bigger portion or mushrooms and well presented. Workington needs to up their game.
Lady on counter was SO rude. They decided to close the kitchen 2 hours early. Even my 4 year old picked up that we were being treated like an inconvenience. I don't expect much from a supermarket cafe, but we were literally just being glared at the whole time after eventually just ordering some scones and drinks. We just decided to leave without finishing anything. It's a shame because it's why we normally do our weekly shopping at Tesco as a quick snack for the kids always goes down well. Asda has a subway connected to it so will go there from now on.
Really dissapointing. Food was poor, service was half-arsed and the breakfast was not value for money. I would recommend you go elsewhere!
