The park has open grass areas and shaded spots under trees. It’s maintained by the town council and is used for walks, picnics, and family visits.

Such a lovely park to stroll around or sit quietly in the sun ☀. There is a play area for children and it looks very clean as does the rest of the park. I chose to take a rest here after my lunch with friends I made that go to age UK, especially now that we have glorious sunny days. It's a lovely place to visit after going around the shops which are very close by and so is the bus station to which I use to travel back home after a day of fresh air. I didn't spot any toilets but then again I wasn't looking for one but I will update if I find out that they do and if not then this should be addressed immediately as it would be handy to have it's own facilities. I will be coming here more often now that it's getting better weather, why not find out for yourself if you ever pass through Workington.
Lovely park in the middle of Workington that is well maintained by the town council. There's a very nice kids play area, newly refurbished tennis courts and plenty of paths for a walk and flower beds displaying some really beautiful flowers. There are several interesting monuments in the park and works of public art. Parking is free and is easy, the park is surrounded by a disk controlled parking zone. Disks can be got from retailers in the town or from the council.
On a scorching hot day and there are plenty of trees to sit under for some shade. Lovely green park with play area and outdoor gym equipment. Very peaceful
