Customer Reviews
I am using this library as a study space for my dissertation. All the staff are very friendly and really do their best to help anyone, whether for a bus pass or to turn on a computer. They treat everyone with respect and the library itself is well laid out, warm, and clean. It is a very inclusive space and I have noted it is well-used. The café on the ground floor is cheerful and welcoming too.
WOW. What has happened to Workington Library?? Internet is far, far too slow, it took me 15 minutes to open an email. I have been told this has been going on for years and nothing has been done to remedy it. Yet again vulnerable members of society are being cast aside. If you have something important to do, I highly advise you go somewhere else as the internet is the slowest I have ever seen.
The people who work there are saints, they will go the extra mile for you. And if you are stuck on the computer they are more than happy to help, book you have a machine in there which you can scan the book and on you go. They work so hard in there just to keep it open so anything or anyone can help. We can't lose another Library again.
