About
This department store stocks a wide range of clothing and homeware across a single floor. It is known for carrying designer labels alongside high-street brands, with regular bargains and sales. The store has a large selection of items to browse, though some shoppers note the layout can feel disorganised. There are occasional discrepancies with pricing at checkout, so some customers double-check receipts. The space is accessible from one main entrance, though some suggest an additional entrance would improve flow. Staff have been described as professional by some visitors.
Customer Reviews
The shop itself is arranged over one floor selling a range of clothing and homewares. The clothes themselves aren't arranged in the best way, it's quite messy and the pricing in TK Maxx isn't as good as it used to be. We walked in, had a quick mooch about the place. Some of the clothes looked nice but everything was fairly jumbled.
I had the worst experience in this Workington store today. A female member of staff who had long black hair who wore all black, treated my 15 year old child absolutely vile. She shouted at my daughter and when I respectfuly asked her what the problem was she scoffed in my face and asked why I was getting angry then she started laughing at me. Ive no idea why. I was not angry but her attitude was down right disgusting. So was her colleague who had long brown hair. She was also extremely rude and lacked people skills. TK Maxx you really have let yourself down with your Workington staff. They need a good dose of customer services training and how to deal with people as human beings. Utterly appalling behaviour from grown women!! Learn manners!! I will never visit this store again.
I always have to check the receipt of the product I buy. When I first went shopping, they had charged me 10 pounds more for a product I didn't buy, and when I checked it at home I saw on the receipt. I made the same mistake again and looked at the receipt at home and saw that I had paid 5 pounds for something I didn't buy. Two weeks ago when I checked my receipt at the cash register, they had charged my card 25 pounds more. Of course I sorted it out right away. I think they see me as a foreigner and think I don't know anything, because it's not normal for the same things to happen every time I go.
