My wife and I brought four kids for a walk around the marina on a freezing February afternoon, following a recommendation from the world’s best niece. It was the perfect refuge from the cold. The coffee here is delicious and clearly made with passion—you can tell they really care about the craft. The kids all had hot chocolates and were very happy with them. We opted to sit in a little shed outside, which was a fun, quirky experience and added a bit of adventure to the afternoon. It’s a great, unpretentious spot that delivers exactly what you need after a brisk walk by the water.

Cozy café with views, atmosphere and excellent food. ✨️ The place is beautifully decorated and inviting, the smell of baked goods is captivating and mouth watering, the food is tasty and cooked with care and attention to details with a variety of delicious breakfast and lunch options, with wonderful coffee and other drinks to choose from (the iced cherry matcha was especially tasty and balanced) and the service was also excellent. 10/10 recommend to anyone who loves good food and baked treats, Howling Wolf is a gem in Whitehaven's port ✨️

Tucked away, you could easily miss it beside the harbour at Whitehaven. Lovely interior, great coffee and justifiably renowned cinnamon bun - just what you need after a yomp along the coast path. Interior was cosy and set up for a variety of group sizes. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Also - super accessible for visitors with mobility issues, or families with push chairs with a big, wide door on a button release, and accessible toilets. Dog friendly too.
