About
This GP surgery in Whitehaven provides general medical services with an e-consult option for booking appointments. Some patients report efficient callback systems for same-day appointments. The practice has been noted for professional staff, including a healthcare assistant who conducts routine assessments. While the phone booking system has faced criticism, the e-consult service is mentioned as an alternative way to request appointments. The surgery handles general health concerns and referrals when needed.
Customer Reviews
i recently registered here after moving away from home and they were swift in getting me a routine assessment to update my records, i was seen my a lovely HCA, who asked me if i had concerns that would need to be talked about with a doctor, which was then. booked in same day. i saw the lovely Caroline Summer, who was so incredible and thorough about my concerns, in which i have been suffering with a medical issue for years and was not investigated by my previous GP. she went through everything from start to finish, and wanted to send me for specialist referral to get to the bottom of my issue. i requested that i be seen by a specific hospital, and she adhered to this no problem. i am so incredibly grateful for this lady and appreciate her being so understanding as well as sharing her own wealth of knowledge to put my mind at ease. thank you so much
I rang the doctors this morning at 10.20 I was told I could wait in a queue of six or press 1 and they would ring me back . I pressed 1 and was rang back within 5 minutes, I was given an appointment for 11.00 am that day, fantastic.
Yes I agree with most that trying to get an appointment on the phone is difficult, but not impossible. I have found the best way to get an appointment is through the e-consult service which is great, you can state your problem exactly then they decide if you need to see a GP or not, you don't have to speak to anyone or stay for ages on the phone. My other mild annoyance is that you don't get to always see the same GP, do we not have a named GP, if we do we should always see them. I don't think that I have a named GP, if I do I don't think that I have ever seen them!
