I visited this store several times since moving to the area. The store is well run, the prices are good and there is plenty of parking for customers. I live in Workington, but the local HB store had run out of a product I wanted. I phoned the Whitehaven store, spoke to Brad. Friendly, very helpful. He found the product I wanted in the store and put it aside for me which I collected the next day. I'm very grateful. His actions made HB an extra £40 which they may lost as a sale to someone else. But his customer service made the difference. Thank you. Still an excellent store with garden centre.
One of the better Home Bargains! Firstly, this store has ample free parking right outside the door, it’s also close by to a big Iceland and Aldi so you can do a lot of shopping at one time. This Home Bargains has all of the essentials you would expect from a regular Home Bargains with the addition of plenty of choice in home decor and furnishing, there’s also a newly opened “Garden World” which is outdoors for all of your plants and garden tools. This store also has fresh produce and a good choice of frozen goods towards the back of the store. There’s also a wide selection of clothing and pyjamas too; for men, women and children. The annoying thing about this store is the tills are located so close to the end of the aisles and at busy periods the queues actually go up the aisles and cause a bit of chaos. Overall, if you like a Home Bargains store then you will really like this one! It has a lot more choice than regular in-town stores and the addition of the car park means you can let yourself get carried away, knowing you don’t have to travel far to the car!
Popped in to get some tea lights and as per usual came out with a bag full. Lovely friendly staff, plenty of choice in all departments, parking outside which is handy when the weather is awful, plenty of disabled parking too
