Customer Reviews
A highlight of our trip to the UK from Canada was a visit to Lucy & Yak for several of our kids. One had shopped online previously from L&Y and they were all so pleased with the fun patterns and fits available that three of them delegated in person shopping to us. Beautiful, bright fun patterns and friendly helpful staff make L&Y are terrific shopping experience. Thank you Scarlett for finding the sizes we needed. November 29, 2025 C&J shopping for M,F,S
My partner and I had an amazing, fun and positive experience shopping at L&Y. We found what we were looking for which is rare for two larger people, and we felt comfortable trying things on. Meg and Roe were wonderful, especially as they were so busy. Meg helped us out the whole time, especially with the re:yak process, and was very friendly and chatty, which we both enjoyed. Her customer service skills were excellent. We could have stood and chatted all day! Thank you for the amazing experience and we will be back ASAP!
Came with my friend whilst we were in Manchester for Lady Gaga. We’re both huge L&Y fans so we were excited to visit a new shop. Arrived and there was no accessible entrance, asked about a ramp and was told there isn’t one that’s safe to use. We were told we could push the wheelchair up the ramp but there was no guarantee it’d be sturdy. My friends wheelchair is electric and weighs about 4.5st. We didn’t want to risk damaging the chair so my friend kindly told me to pop in alone whilst she waited outside. The staff were very apologetic and were happy for me to take things out to my friend to look at, have a feel of, and offer sizing advice on. However due to not being able to access the shop, she couldn’t try things on so was reluctant to buy things that may not fit and have the faff of posting back etc. I didn’t have the time to try things on either as I didn’t want to leave my friend alone for too long so only left with some accessories in the 3 for 2 and a fleece I was able to quickly try on. I emailed asking when this would be fixed, and was told that they’re looking into it. Come to Google reviews and see this has been an issue for at least four months now. So this is not something they see as a priority and are isolating disabled people from shopping in store. For a brand that talks about being inclusive and uses wheelchair users in their promotional images, this has left a very bad taste in my mouth. I get that sometimes things break and there’s a process to get a new one ordered and safety checked etc, but surely this should not be taking so long? Unfortunately I’ll be taking some time away from spending money with Lucy & Yak for now. It’s extremely disappointing that they cannot spend a small amount of money to enable disabled people to be able to shop in store, so I don’t feel it’s appropriate to spend my money here right now.
