I had never tried any kind of stage performance before trying out improv at Freya and Paul’s classes, and I am really glad I did. It’s a very approachable class and a lot of fun to do. Both teachers are really great at getting the best out of everyone. It is a lot of fun and I highly recommend it.

Paul and Freya create such a welcoming, inclusive space where you can just show up, have fun, and not worry about “getting it right.” The classes are a great mix of structured exercises and playful chaos, making it super easy to jump in no matter your experience level. Every session leaves me feeling more confident, creative, and connected. If you’re even a little curious about improv, this is the place to try it. Can’t recommend it enough.

If you’re reading this and even vaguely interested in improv, but aren’t sure if it’s for you, I would urge you to book a class with Improv North immediately. I was a complete beginner when I signed up, and I’m just *so* glad that I put any hesitations to one side and took the plunge. Paul and Freya have created a really safe space to learn, develop, and just be downright free and silly. It’s not only really good fun, but it’s extremely informative, and they give loads of supportive feedback to ensure you progress your skills. Plus they’re absolutely brilliant comedy performers and I feel so lucky that I get to see them in action in demonstrations/examples!
