I stopped in here on a short visit around Manchester. This cafe has made me feel absolutely welcomed. Matthew at the bar was especially fantastic. It was amazing to see him interact personally with each customer doing his best to brighten everybody's day. He has a profound spring in his step and lit up my day like the star he is. The matcha is 10/10 i would recommend the blueberry. Fantastic to see a cafe that offers no additional fee for alternative milks.
Great coffee place. Between us we got an iced blueberry matcha and iced vanilla oat latte. They were both so good. As someone who’s recently got into matcha (and sometimes can’t get past the grassy taste) the blueberry masked the taste perfectly. The iced vanilla oat latte is a pretty standard order but it was very well balanced. Didn’t get any food but they offer pastries. Downside was the queue - no matter which venue you chose (there are a few in mcr) all tend to have queues going out the door. We waited around 15-20mins but it was definitely worth it. At this particular venue you can’t click & collect to skip the queue but I believe you can at their other places.
went there on the pride parade day and there was a long queue, the staff were friendly, despite how busy it was, also amazingly quick service so we didn’t wait too long until we got our matcha. Fair price, love the matching greens in store as well, good job Blank Street!!
