About

A freehouse at the edge of the city centre, this pub focuses on real ales and ciders from independent breweries across the UK, available on cask and keg. The menu includes a Sunday roast with options like beef and porchetta, alongside small plates such as rarebit. Chef Dan prepares dishes like steak, occasionally introducing them to diners personally. The pub features a piano and an open fireplace, creating a traditional setting. It hosts quiz nights and serves a range of lagers and Vimto. Dogs are welcome, and the space accommodates both casual drinks and group bookings upstairs.

Best Sunday roast we’ve had out! Started with the rarebit which was a definite highlight, so cheesy but light. We then shared the beef and the porchetta - both incredible and would be hard to choose between. Veg was perfect, especially the celeriac purée and red cabbage! Recommend the sticky toffee pudding too even if you’re very full from the roast. Such a lovely cosy dining room upstairs with a fire and candles. Service was great throughout with great timings between drinks and courses.

One of my new favourites - not only do these guys bring a warm and friendly pub atmosphere but chef Dan is the star of the show, cooking the best steak in Manchester! Love it here and will be back time after time again! 🫶🏻

Freehouse tucked away at the edge of the city centre, focussing on beers from independent breweries from across the UK, on cask and Keg. Old school pub interior with a welcoming open fire on a cold winter's night. Dedicated dining room upstairs.
