About
A budget-friendly hotel in central Manchester, near Albert Square, with straightforward rooms and comfortable beds. The continental breakfast includes pastries, and there’s a bar in the lobby. Its location is convenient for the tram, theatres, and AO Arena. Rooms are compact but clean, with functional showers. The building has a simple exterior but a bright, modern interior. Some rooms have limited space between the bed and walls. Breakfast has a selection of cold options but no cooked dishes. The bar area is a casual spot to unwind.
Customer Reviews
Good hotel, I’m not expecting luxury. Comfortable, clean room with a comfortable bed. No cooked breakfast when i stayed but the continental breakfast was very good quality so I can’t complain too much. Quality pastries, breads, meats, coffee with syrups and cereal for the breakfast buffet… a step above equivalent priced hotels hotels for a continental breakfast. Staff are lovely. Nice bar too. I’m not expecting luxury at this price range as there is usually a trade off.
The rooms are very nice, bar a few things like the Aircon... a hard limit of 19°c in the winter and the cooling was not working. It was actually too hot in the room. The tv is locked to just aerial tv, no access to smart apps or any inputs so no firestick or laptop connectivity. the shower tray is a bit slippery even with the mat provided. The breakfast... the sausages were over cooked, the bacon was somehow rubbery and overcooked at the same time.. no beans, no fried eggs, no black pudding just scrambled eggs. They clearly prioritised the continental breakfast ( deli meats, bread and condiments) over a full (advertised) English breakfast. The coffee machine was nice, with the bottles of syrup, cold and hot coffee drinks. Juices - orange, apple and cranberry and water. The bar- Drinks are expensive at over 10 pounds for one cocktail with the card machine asking for a tip ontop of the almost 11 pound drink. beers and ciders not too over priced but definitely above average Price. Three lifts which means you are never left waiting for long to get to your room even at breakfast.
Stayed here for one night for business and thought it was excellent. Really central location, very clean, rooms are great Bar and area on the ground floor really nice and staff very friendly.|Adding all that together you would expect it to cost a fair bit but it is also probably the cheapest hotel with such a central location.|Will definitely book again when next visiting the city.
