About
A simple canteen-style Pakistani restaurant serving rice and curry dishes in generous portions. The menu changes daily, with options like lamb curry, spinach and nihari. Diners can choose a rice and three curries combination. There are samosas, naan and mango lassi. The space has bench seating and is tucked down an alleyway. The approach is no-frills – order at the counter and take a seat.

This & That Restaurant in Manchester is truly a hidden gem, as it's tucked away from the busy main areas. The concept is simple, you choose your dishes and the staff serve the curries you want. The food is filling and satisfying. Even though the restaurant looks simple, almost like a canteen, it's always busy with customers who clearly enjoy the food and keep coming back because the menu suits their taste well. The staff are friendly and always smiling, which adds to the pleasant dining experience. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for good, affordable food 🍲. Highly recommend😉
I’ve visited this restaurant around 14:00 on a weekday. There’s quite a large seating area and it’s pretty clean. They have different menu on each weekday. I have ordered a lamp curry from the daily menu with a garlic naan (total £7.80 which I believe is a good deal for a good meal). I’m glad the gentleman working at the cashier has stopped me ordering 2 naan as he afraid that I might be too full. The temperature of the food is hot enough and the portion is just right! 🫶🏻 We are definitely going to visit again and recommend to our friends.
We were attracted by the relatively high review score (4.7 after more than 2000 reviews). What makes it worthwhile is that you'll have a generous portion of decent food for a ridiculously reasonable price. The selection varies daily, but that great price for the rice and three (curries) is constant. All the curries we tried were decent but not outstanding, but the price cannot be beat. Listening to the patrons and the warm greetings of the staff, it is obvious that many diners make it a regular stop. Michelin star? Nope. But a filling meal at an unmatched price - count me in.
