So this company said the card I sent an image of was not a prescription? But I took it into Spec savers today and they ordered me 2 pairs of glasses from the card which of course has my prescription on it. Also I have used the same card to order glasses from another well known online glasses supplier. So their response via email to me is complete and utter rubbish. In summary absolutely joke of a company. Put everything into the website order page for my prescription which has been used with other glasses providers without issue. They then email saying need a prescription? Complete waste of time. Avoid this company they just enjoy wasting people's time and clearly don't actually know what a glasses prescription is!
Got a great blue light filtered prescription glasses for £24 ! I'm so impressed. They arrived promptly and fit me perfectly. The turn around time was less than a week. I'm so grateful as I really needed them. They came in nice glasses pouch.
Ordered an expensive pair of prescription sunglasses with polarised lenses. They arrived relatively quickly and in good condition, with the right prescription, but the quality of polarisation was extremely poor. Uneven dark and light blotches of polarisation were clearly visible all around the edges of both lenses. This was immediately apparent when holding them up to any polarised light source/screen/sky, so I have no idea how it got through quality control. I contacted customer support and they were quick and efficient in arranging a return and replacement. However, after I waited a couple of weeks for the replacement to arrive, I was dismayed to find they had fitted new lenses, but they had the exact same issue! I complained to customer support and enquired about their quality control processes, and was told that Glasses Direct "rely on our manufacturing partners to adhere to high standards", i.e.they do none of their own quality control. Every time I exchanged emails with the customer support team, it was a different person, so there were some misunderstandings that took up even more of my time. I should have just got a refund when I received the first defective pair and saved myself the hassle. At least they make the returns process easy.
