It’s a car park. It’s of the style that gently slopes each floor and doesn’t have a crazy spiral to get out of. You can book in advance (there’s an app for that, or a website for the app-phobics out there. If you book tickets for a show at Home (which is literally outside the car park stairs/lifts) you can get a 25% discount by booking in advance. The lifts are very quiet and the whole place is well lit. The car park is nicely situated for Home and all the restaurants and sites of Manchester. You get a good view from the car park over a disused ramshackle factory and the bigger city.
Never used a Q park before as they're quite expensive. I was worried about parking in Manchester because all the car park reviews are terrible with people having smashed windows. I also have a very lowered car which makes it impossible to park on steep multi-stories without scrape. I looked all over the internet to find photos or descriptions for car parks suitable for my needs, I am writing this review to hopefully help someone else. The ramp on the way up was very gradual, the top where it bends I had a tiny scrape so take very slowly. The entire carpark is designed to slowly ramp up which is perfect for low cars, the floor is super smooth. Bays were a decent size. Felt very secure. Lift so you don't have to carry suitcases up stairs. It states that there's a toilet, which is actually a disabled only that needs a code so bare that in mind if you're coming from somewhere far. Booked ahead online and anpr just opened the barrier on entry/exit, super simple and probably the best car park I've ever used. Worth the money 👍🏻
A really nice carpark. Always clean. Good prices. Secure. We always use this car park when visiting Manchester. It's close enough to the city centre but easy to get too without having to battle lots of traffic. It is also close to tram stops and the train station.
