Had a superb stay at InnSide - I’m struggling to really find a fault with it. Excellent value for what you get. And what you get is a modern, trendy, comfortable hotel in a great central location (perfect for the convention centre). The fact there’s a fitness centre and sauna and steam room included makes this place almost too good to be true. On my stay, the sauna could have been a bit hotter, and the steam room wasn’t working for whatever reason which is a shame. Rooms are pretty unique in their layout, with an open plan bathroom area - this makes the actual toilet feel a bit like a cupboard but that doesn’t detract anything from it really. Loved my stay here and this will be my new go-to for future stays in Manchester.
The hotel is in a perfect location, with plenty of food options nearby and parking available, which was very convenient. The staff were lovely — always friendly and welcoming whenever we passed the reception area. Gino’s restaurant adds a nice atmosphere to the hotel and is a great spot for a coffee or a quick drink before heading out for the day or evening. The gym was also very good, with a decent range of equipment. The steam and sauna rooms were enjoyable; however, the experience was let down as the shower wasn’t working. We had to use the disabled shower instead, which unfortunately had freezing cold water and the temperature control didn’t seem to work. The main disappointment was the room. It looked completely different from what was advertised online. While the added wall between the bathroom and bedroom is understandable, it made the room feel very basic, boring, and quite unpleasant compared to expectations. Additionally, the bed had a noticeable smell of coffee, which made us wonder if something had been spilled on the mattress or duvet. The carpet also had visible stains. Overall, the hotel has a lot of positives, especially the location, facilities, and staff, but the room quality and some maintenance issues definitely need attention to better match what’s advertised.
This is a lovely hotel to stay at. We have stayed a few times now and always have a good experience. My only concern is the shower. All the rooms we have stayed in have had a shower that leaks all over the floor no matter what we do. The water often reaches the carpet which then makes it wet for the rest of the stay. It seems like the seals on the bottom don't work properly to keep the water in. Other than that. It's a lovely place in a fantastic location
